IITC 鉗式測痛儀是根據 Randall-Selitto 理論設計是進行炎癥足加壓實驗的經典儀器。

根據 Randall-Selitto 法將藥物添加在小實驗動物的炎癥足上。Randall-Selitto 測痛儀測量單元具有壓力傳感器并通過液晶屏實時顯示測量參數。壓力施加器一端為彈性的尖形探頭另一端平坦。使用時將動物足部放入壓力施加器中間對準探頭施加壓力。逐步提高作用于動物爪子上的機械壓力逼近動物的疼痛閾限當動物出現縮足反應時儀器自動測量并記錄大壓力信號以g為單位。

與熱痛不同該儀器用于機械壓痛和鈍痛的痛覺測量常用于辨別左右爪不同的痛覺反應。

鉗式測痛儀 Rodent Pincher Analgesia Meter 

Rodent Pincher allows researchers to measure and test pain threshold in a simple, accurate method when measuring pain nociception.

The system can be used on mice or rats and will measure and display in grams the amount of force that has been applied to the animals paw.

Accuracy is .01 grams, no calibration needed.
